Good afternoon, CodeRVA Families-

We have just a few updates for you this week before you head out into your weekend.  Huge thanks to all our families who retrieved their students from Homecoming on Friday on time.  I think this was the quickest dismissal we have ever had, and our staff was very appreciative.  Thank you!

Here is another reminder for families of students currently taking a World Language with Virtual Virginia.  Please see these important updates below:

  • On Monday, October 19, Virtual Virginia will withdraw any student whose World Language grade is 40% or below. 

  • The deadline to drop your student’s World Language course without penalty is Friday, November 13 at 3 PM. Please notify your student’s School Counselor no later than 3 PM on November 13 if you wish to drop the course. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your student’s School Counselor.

Next, please check out this update from Mr. Neal about October 22nd, which is our Picture Retake Day! Please see the information below to schedule picture retakes:

  • Students in grades 9-11 who were absent for the original picture day will automatically be scheduled for retakes on 10/22.

  • Students in grades 9-11 who did get their picture taken already but would like a retake need to fill out this form to be scheduled.

  • Any students in 12th grade who would like to have their Senior Picture taken on 10/22 also need to fill out this form to be scheduled. This form is for any Senior regardless of if they had photos taken in the summer or not.

  • The scheduling form will close on Wednesday 10/21 at 8:00am, so please sign up as soon as possible if needed.

Attention Seniors who are in good academic standing (which includes being on track for graduation) and have their own reliable transportation !  Here is our annual Senior Early Release/Late Arrival Form.  Please read the guidelines on the form very carefully before completing it.  While you’re at the computer, please remember the Fall Tasks Form is due Friday, October 30. This form is mandatory for all Seniors. Failure to complete it may result in loss of privileges for school-sponsored Senior activities.  If you need to take your formal pose portrait for the Yearbook, there will be an option to do it here at CodeRVA on October 22.  More information will be sent out closer to the date.
