Good afternoon, CodeRVA Families-

This week’s email is going to be a quick recap of previous items you have missed.  Given it’s a short week, we don’t have much new content.  You’re welcome?

  • Report cards were mailed on June 4 to the primary address we have on file.  If you have not received yours by the end of the month, please feel free to request an electronic copy by emailing info@coderva.org.

  • Attention Class of 2027!

    • Here is everything you need to know about Class of 2027 Senior Portraits, Yearbook Ads, etc.

    • Please be aware all 12th graders must show proof of two doses of Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine: one dose before age 16 and one dose at age 16 or older. If a student did not receive a single dose before age 16, one dose given at age 16 or older is fine.  Families can send a printed or scanned copy of the student’s shot record to cindy.crowder@coderva.org or send in a copy with the student.  The deadline for submitting this information is August 20, but don’t wait if you have this information on hand now.  Students will not be able to attend school in the fall without verification of this immunization.  If you have questions or need additional assistance, please call Nurse Crowder at 968-1823 or email her at the address above.

  • Here is another reminder for families whose students have medicine in our school’s Clinic:

    • If you have medicines here in our clinic and your student is not returning to CodeRVA, please plan to pick them up before June 25.  Our summer hours are Monday-Thursday 7 AM-5 PM.  (Please note our school is closed on June 18 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.)  After June 25 we will discard any remaining medications for students who are not returning.

    • If you have medicine on site and your student is returning, we will be happy to store the medicine here for next school year.  If there is medicine on site that is expiring over the summer, Nurse Crowder will contact your family directly to find out if you want us to discard it or if you want to come and pick it up.

    • All families must complete a new medication administration form for 2026-27 though even if your medications remain on site.  We must have this form completed annually.

    • If you have any medication or Clinic-related questions, please give Nurse Crowder a call at 968-1823.

  • Attention all families whose students are taking a Dual Enrollment (DE) class over the summer. The charge for that class has been added to your student’s account.  You can refer to this document: How do I Pay School Fees? to assist you with logistics if you would like to pay this fee now, and Henrico County has created this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4OD1u9Tpic for those unfamiliar with the OSP system.  Families are welcome to pay summer DE fees now or wait and pay them in the fall when your 2026-27 fees are added to your student’s account.  If you have any questions about what your student’s fees are, please notify Mrs. Melody Krupnik at melody.krupnik@coderva.org or 804-968-1822.

  • If you have time in your schedule and would like to come one day (or two) and paint, please let Dr. Harmon know at rebecca.harmon@coderva.org.  She is currently scheduling for painting dates in July!

  • We are offering a limited quantity of RETIRED laptops in exchange for a $200 donation to the school (cash or checks made to CodeRVA Regional High School will be accepted).  The devices are Dell Latitude 5520 and 5530 models that include 8GB RAM; 235GB storage; i5 processor; 15.6″ LCD screens; and a fresh Windows 11 Pro OS install.  The purchase also includes a charging cord. Devices no longer have a manufacturer warranty and will not be supported by CodeRVA technology staff once purchased.  Devices will be wiped and all software will be removed except for software that is included in a Windows 11 Pro OS installation.  Requests will be processed in the order in which they were received.

  • If your student did not order a Yearbook due to temporary or ongoing financial challenges, please email our Executive Director Dr. Kume Goranson at kume.goranson@coderva.org so you can be entered into a drawing for a free Yearbook.  If selected, you can either pick up your Yearbook this summer or we will distribute it to your student on the first day of school.  We have a limited number of copies, so please be aware not all students will win.

That is it for this week, Raptors!  I hope you stay cool on this hot day, and have a safe weekend!
