Good afternoon, CodeRVA Families-

Summer is still in full swing, but our staff will be back on campus on Tuesday, and we are so excited for the 2026-27 school year!  Please note that our school will be closed tomorrow, August 7, as well as Monday August 10.  We will respond to all our emails and voicemails on August 11 as soon as we can, but the school will be closing at noon on Tuesday August 11 so we can all attend an off-campus staff meeting.

Attention Families of Students registered to take a World Language course through Virtual Virginia!

  • Please remember that your course begins on Thursday, August 13, and there is an orientation session available on August 11.  Earlier today our 9th grade families received an email with their student’s Virtual Virginia and CodeRVA Gmail login information.  All our returning students should have their login information from last year.  If your student is in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade and has forgotten their Virtual Virginia password, they will have to reset it.  CodeRVA staff cannot change Virtual Virginia passwords.  Please log in and begin working on those World Language courses on August 13, and if you have any Virtual Virginia enrollment questions, please contact your School Counselor:

Attention all returning Juniors and Seniors!  Please make sure you have turned on your device before you return to school on August 24 so you can receive all the necessary machine updates!

Attention all Families of Students with an IEP or 504!  As the students might say: IYKYK what those letters and numbers mean.  If you don’t, you can disregard this section.  Our Case Manager assignments have changed slightly for this year.  Please note the new alphabet splits for last names below:

  • Mitchell: A-Bru + AT

  • Hilterbrant: Bry-G+ JMM

  • Jones: H-Mun

  • S. Dowe: Mur-Z

Attention all Families of Grade 9 and 10 Students enrolled in Health/Physical Education 9/10!  Once again our partners at the YMCA of Greater Richmond have generously donated a free student membership for any 9th or 10th grader enrolled in these courses.  Eligible students can use this CodeRVA Activation Guide.docx to get started!

Here is another reminder about these key dates ahead:

  • School Picture Day for Grades 9-11: September 17

  • Back to School Night (an optional event): September 22

  • Homecoming: October 16

If you need to see our 2026-27 Academic Calendar, it’s available 24-7 on our website here.

All CodeRVA families should have received a copy of your student’s schedule today (most likely at the same moment this email arrived).  Please note our School Counselors will not be back in the office until August 11, so we thank you in advance for your patience if you are sending them an email per the schedule letter’s instructions.

Now that you have your student’s schedule, you are also welcome to pay your student’s fees online!  If you are not sure how to do that, you can refer to this document: How do I Pay School Fees? to assist you with logistics, and Henrico County has created this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4OD1u9Tpic for those unfamiliar with the OSP system.  If you have any questions about what your student’s fees are, please notify Mrs. Melody Krupnik at melody.krupnik@coderva.org or 804-968-1822.

In addition, we will offer two in person fee paying opportunities for families wishing to use CASH OR CHECK ONLY for their fees.  We will not have any online stations set up for fee paying since families can access the online system from any phone or computer.  If you can’t make one of the fee dates below but still want to use cash or check, please send the exact amount to school with your student when they return to campus.

  • August 19 3:15-4 PM and August 26 3:15-4 PM

While you are at your computer, please take a moment to complete this annual Student Information Form required for all CodeRVA families.  If you have students at other schools, you can check us off your list now and contend with those other Back to School packets later in August.

Our Clawesome CodeRVA PTSA has been hard at work this summer on behalf of our staff and students!  Please consider joining them using the information here .

Last but not least today, here are two reminders for the Class of 2027:

  • Here is everything you need to know about Class of 2027 Senior Portraits, Yearbook Ads, etc.

  • Please be aware all 12th graders must show proof of two doses of Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine: one dose before age 16 and one dose at age 16 or older. If a student did not receive a single dose before age 16, one dose given at age 16 or older is fine.  Families can send a printed or scanned copy of the student’s shot record to cindy.crowder@coderva.org or send in a copy with the student.  The deadline for submitting this information is August 20, but don’t wait if you have this information on hand now.  Students will not be able to attend school in the fall without verification of this immunization.  If you have questions or need additional assistance, please call Nurse Crowder at 968-1823 or email her at the address above.

That is quite enough for today, Raptors!  I hope you enjoy the summer weather ahead this weekend, and stay safe, Raptors!

Attention all Returning Raptors!  Did you take an AP exam this past spring?  If so, your score is now available to view!  Go to apstudents.collegeboard.org/view-scores and log in using your College Board account.  This is the same account that you use to access My AP and other College Board resources.  Don’t create a new account if you already have one, as it may cause a delay in getting your AP scores.  Once you are logged in, you will see your scores.
