School Counseling

All CodeRVA students are learners with distinctive skills, interests, and values who will graduate meeting the profile of a Virginia Graduate by honing their personal, academic, and career-readiness capacities. CodeRVA students exemplify strong self-management skills, curiosity, professionalism, and leadership as they prepare for careers in computer science and coding. As lifelong learners, they aspire to develop their computer science abilities, model social responsibility, and add value to their communities.

The mission of CodeRVA’s school counselors is to provide a comprehensive, data-informed school counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. In alignment with the mission of CodeRVA Regional High School, our regional school district partners, and the Virginia Department of Education, we have designed and uphold a framework that provides all students with access to innovative, quality learning experiences. This is possible through a partnership with families, staff, community members, and other stakeholders to prepare students for college and careers in computer science and coding.
